A hopeful sign of construction progress was spotted outside the Pavilion Cinema by John Ritchie. He posted a picture on Twitter of those ugly, broken down, purple seats, piles along the wall, waiting for the trash pick-up (and here's one in the harsh, unrelenting light of day.)
Worried by to walk down that block now because of the rumors those seats had bedbugs? A Pavilion rep reminds Gothamist that the theater never had bedbugs.
With the inconsistent construction and the lack of good summer movies (Smurfs is one of the films showing this week), I've been putting off a visit. Has anyone braved the theater lately?
