Food is much more than nutrition for our bodies. Learn amazing things about food, including how to make a clock using a fruit, how to re-grow food from leftovers, and how to create a spectacular chemistry experiment using ingredients from the grocery store. This session will include a focus on digestion and metabolism in order to provide young scientists with a general overview on the importance of the types of foods we eat.
Science Saturdays is a hands-on, theme-based program that incorporates the use of experiments and child-led explorations to help children apply critical thinking skills to the world around them. Since April, the young scientists in the program have learned about chemistry, physics, biology, botany, anatomy and much more!
The Science Saturdays program meets at 559 Rogers Avenue, from 10am to 12pm. The program fee includes all materials and a light nutritious snack. This program is geared toward young scientists age 3-6. For a limited time, register for all seven sessions and receive a 15% discount!
Thank you and I look forward to exploring the wonderful world of science with your child.
