Sir Paul was elegant . Dressed probably by Stella . His singing was great too!
as was his 5 or 6 guitars he played not to mention his Yamaha, and Sgt Pepper type pianos. He played all his old greats and then some. He did a few new songs like Valentine, that I have on my itunes and play when it rains-literally and figuratively. Old favorites like Jude, Madonna,St pepper album greats, helter skelter, benefit of Mr. Kite , etc. which I had to sing and do a dance to when I was pledging. Sir Paul even made up a song on stage! At least it sounded like it.
There was dancing in the aisles, and many sing- a- longs with the audience. He is a left handed guitarist- I had the best seat in the stadium. I was stage right and elevated slightly. Saw the chords on his guitar as he faced my direction most of the time . I know he makes up his chords, because he cannot read music, he plays by ear.....and I wanted to see how he played blackbird, since I couldn't follow it from my song book written by some musicologist. Perhaps I will use Sir Paul's method, what sounds right, as my father taught me to play by ear too!
I spent $300 on my ticket on the first day it was on sale - a whole days pay for me and it was worth every penny of my hard work . Sir Paul gave it all he had. It was really one of the best concerts I've seen in a long time-rates up there with Prince.
