Sports Columnist Loses Bet, Buses Tables at Elora's Restaurant

Had the Milwaukee Brewers won their playoff series against the St. Louis Cardinals, it may have made a more interesting World Series, but the loss last night makes this wager proposed by Daily News sports betting columnist Mighty Quinn versus Elora's owner Pete Perez much more fun:

Brewers win the next two games, and Pete treats Mighty and Suzy Q, plus Sportsmania Pub owner Gino and his wife Joyce, plus Sportsmania Pub bartender Chris and his wife Kathy, to dinner at Elora's. If Mighty loses, he must clean tables (bus boy) at Elora's for a whole night shift.
