Stables Saved!

Stables Saved!

The Brooklyn Paper reports that the Health Department has relented and rewritten rules intended to cover carriage horses so that they won't burden the Kensington Stables, which had said it might have to go out of business.

Their $3 (!) pony rides are, incidentally, a wonderful activity for kids on a nice day, and they have lessons and camps for those over 6.

Congrats to Stables owner Walker Blankinship, who fought this hard and with the support of Councilman Brad Lander.
