State Senator Adams to Speak at Albemarle Neighborhood Association
At its Thursday, September 22 meeting, the Albemarle Neighborhood Association (ANA), will host NY State Senator Eric Adams of Brooklyn’s 20th Senatorial District, offering his ideas on how to create a healthy community/police “symbiosis.”
A former NYPD Captain for 22 years, Senator Adams currently serves as the ranking minority member on both the NY Senate’s Racing, Gaming and Wagering committee and its Consumer Protection committee. He is also known for his workshops telling young people, “What To Do When Stopped By The Police."
The ANA will meet from 7-8 p.m. at the Flatbush & Shaare Torah Jewish Center, 327 E. 5th Street, corner of Church Avenue. (Please use wheelchair-accessible entrance on the ground floor.) The meeting is free and open to all, members and nonmembers alike. Foodtown and ANA will provide refreshments.
