A neighbor posts a glowing review on KWT yahoo group of the new taco stand on Church, right in front of Walgreens, open every day except Monday, from 2pm - 9pm:
Here's what I've had so far:
- 2 tacos, $2 each. One cesina, one chorizo. Double tortillas grilled wrapped around very moist meat with all the trimmings - onion, cilantro, lime and cuke slices on the side. Not listed on the menu is lengua which I greatly look forward to getting next time. Not the best I've ever had, but really, really good and a suitable slake between visits to 5th ave in Sunset.
- Took home three warm, creamy and moist tamales - one pollo roja, one pollo mole, one dulce. $1.25 each, much better than others I've had in the neighborhood.
I have every intention to pile drive my way through the surprisingly extensive menu of tacos, tamales, tortas, tostadas, and even huaraches!!!! They also have a large selection of Mexican sodas!
