Tell City Government How to Spend $1M

Council Member Brad Lander is who is testing out "participatory budgeting" in his district, which invites regular people to decide how government should spend $1 million in capital funding.

Want more money given to school programs? How about new street calming measures? Maybe a few bucks to get rid of a puddle? What else would you like to see that money go toward?

If you've got ideas, then show up to one of the first series of meetings where residents are welcome to brainstorm project ideas and select budget delegates. The Windsor Terrace meeting is next month at PS 154, so get your list of ideas ready.
