There's Power in the Community

A neighbor on the Kensington Windsor Terrace yahoo group puts it well:

Psst!

EVERYBODY'S DOING IT!  Well, at least 99 other neighbors will be...entering the Prospect Park Energy Competition to see who will use the least energy in Kensington/Windsor Terrace.  The folks over at Sustainable KWT (with the help of NYSERDA) are hoping that this contest will reduce our nabe's overall carbon footprint by sparking some healthy competition among neighbors.  KWT will eventually compete with other NYC neighborhoods.

Becoming a contestant is easy.  Click on the link below to learn more and enroll.  You will enter some data from your Con Ed bill along with some info about your energy usage (people in your household, # of appliances - that sort of thing).  That's it!  Takes just a couple of minutes!  And it's confidential.

Do it...Come on...You know you want to...reduce your carbon footprint and use a little friendly competition to help your neighbors do the same.

The deadline to sign up for the competition is Feb. 9th and spots are limited, so sign up today.
