Train Service Normal...For Now

The F and G trains are back to normal at the 15th Street and Fort Hamilton Parkway stations after being closed on the Manhattan- and Queens-bound side since January 17. Enjoy it while you can--service in the other direction will be suspended starting in November.

WNYC asked people how it was getting around this morning compared to the past few months, and most people were relieved about the return to service, though one neighbor managed to see a bright side:

That won’t be a problem for Windsor Terrace resident Lee Wilson, who said the service disruption was a hassle that also had its benefits: "I just ended up walking to the 7th Avenue Station because the B61 bus was too unreliable to wait around for, so maybe I lost a couple of pounds walking an extra seven-tenths of a mile every day."

So how was your commute this morning?
