Flyers are up all over the neighborhood for a feral cat trap-neuter-return (TNR) training program this Saturday, and every one I saw had most of its tags missing. Since people seem to be so interested, I thought I'd provide the details here--it's at the McKinley Park Library in Dyker Heights--but the workshop, run by the NYC Feral Cat Initiative, is completely full already.
They run the workshops pretty regularly in different locations around the city, so check the events page often if you're interested in attending one.
Another option is to take an online course from the Humane Society. The $10 course will teach you how managing feral cat colonies using the TNR approach.
The feral cat issue comes up pretty regularly in the neighborhood, but we don't hear much about people who have tried TNR in Kensington. Has anyone out there done it recently, or is planning to do it?
