Violin Classes

Neighbor Tomoko Omura is offering private violin classes in the neighborhood, near Fort Hamilton F/G. Tomoko come here from Japan via Boston MA’s Berklee College of Music, "where she was the first string student ever to receive the prestigious Roy Haynes Award, and from which she graduated summa cum laude. Her teachers have included Hal Crook, Ed Tomassi, Jamey Haddad and Matt Glaser."

About the lessons:

For the past eight years, I had the pleasure of working with a wide range of students from complete beginner to advanced professionals. It is always rewarding to see how students grow both on a personal level and a musical level.

I have an experience in teaching for over 8 years and am deeply committed to make the learning process enjoyable, rewarding and challenging. My experience as an extremely active professional performer and a composer helps to give students different perspectives.

Instruction is available in most popular and traditional styles. (ex, Classical, Jazz, Rock, Improvisation and etc...)  Lessons are usually scheduled weekly.

For scheduling and more information about the lesson fee, please contact me via e-mail or phone.
