Visit Green-Wood Cemetery This Sunday for a Tour and a Show
Spend a beautiful fall day at the Green-Wood Cemetery this Sunday, and learn some stuff while you're there!
Tour guide Ruth Edebohlshe leads the Draft Riots and Gangs of New York Walking Tour on Sunday, September 25 at 11am. Hear about the many people buried at the cemetery who were a part of the violent Draft Riots of 1863, and walk the hilly, wooded area as the leaves begin to turn.
Then at 3pm, the Artful Conspirators present Brooklyn Underground: Theatrical stories from the Green-Wood Cemetery at the chapel. The new play features "characters" who are buried at Green-Wood, who share their imaginative tales. The show begins its run on Friday, September 23, and continues through Sunday, October 2, with performances on Fridays at 8pm, Saturdays at 3pm and 8pm, and Sundays at 3pm.
