Join neighbors to paint the barrier wall on Fort Hamilton Parkway between Park Circle and Prospect Avenue:
The New York City Department of Transportation is partnering with New York Cares for our biannual Barrier Beautification Day. Join Brooklyn-based artist Amy Madden and other volunteers to paint her design onto 1,000 feet of barrier on Saturday, October 22 between 10 am and 4 pm.
This is a joint effort to beautify our neighborhoods through art. We thought this event would serve as a community-building and bonding opportunity, and that your group would like to partake.
Directions: Meet at the exit of the Fort Hamilton Parkway subway stop (F/G) at 10 am to participate in the day. Lunch will not be provided but 45 minutes will be allotted to volunteers for lunch. If interested in signing up, please contact Emily Colasacco, Manager of the NYCDOT Urban Art Program at ecolasacco@dot.nyc.gov or arts@dot.nyc.gov.
