Volunteers Help Paint the Mural at Connie's

Neighbors from down the block and folks from as far away as East New York and Staten Island stopped by Connie's Cafe to pick up a paintbrush and help with the new mural that's going up.

Groundswell Community Mural Project and the NYC Department of Transportation say that it is progressing nicely, and will be done in time for the grand unveiling on Thursday, August 25. They'll still be painting over the next two weeks, so next time you pass by, be sure to check out their progress.
