Volunteers Needed to Spot Graffiti for KAF Cleanup

The Kensington Action Force (KAF) is looking for some people to lead small groups (3-4 people) that will check out the neighborhood and report places where there's graffiti that needs to be painted over. They're hoping to get help as soon as possible, with the graffiti identifying to start ideally on Monday, July 25.

When you sign up, you'll get a sheet to list the locations of graffiti, which you then have to return to KAF within 48 hours. The actual clean-up of the graffiti will be handled by the city.

Jerry Krone from the KAF tells us these are the main areas of focus:

Sector #1
Between Ocean Parkway and McDonald Avenue
1. Cortelyou Road
2. Ditmas Avenue
3. 18th Avenue

Sector #2
McDonald Avenue - 18th Ave - Ave C

Sector #3
Ave C - 18th Avenue
1. Ocean Parkway - Coney Island Avenue

So to recap--there's no hard work involved, you just need to take a walk and write things down! If you'd like to help out, check out the listing on Volunteer Match, then email kaforce@gmail.com for more info.
