We've been outed!

We've been outed!

On the KWT listserve ... welcome, readers!

I have been quietly writing the Kensington Prospect blog for a while now, but have hesitated with "launching" it properly, knowing that there is still much work to be done on the back pages, and that I have big shoes to fill - to follow what I used to love to read - the Kensington Brooklyn blog that Jen started  roughly at the same time as Ben and I did the Ditmas Park Blog. But now that KP has been outed ... I hope you won't judge too harshly. At least yet.

I promise to post what I notice and learn about the neighborhood, the people, and local businesses, the whimsical and the serious. It is my hope that Kensington Prospect will be useful to the folks in the neighborhood, or looking to move to the neighborhood, that I get to know more of you in person, and that some of you may consider emailing kensingtonprospect@gmail.com the stuff you'd like to share on the blog - images, happenings, ideas, issues, problems, ... Hopefully we can populate the local calendar, and create a new local's page with links to neighbors dong interesting stuff.

You'll probably ask about geography - what will the blog cover, and the short answer is - about a mile radius from Church and McDonald. Including bits of Windsor Terrace on the other exit of Fort Hamilton stop to the park, and down to Ditmas/E18th.

Please email me at kensingtonprospect@gmail.com to vent your feelings, and I look forward to writing about this beautiful neighborhood called Kensington.
