Worker's Foot Cut Off By Saw At Kensington Construction Site: DOB

The construction worker was rushed in serious condition to Maimonides Medical Center, said FDNY.

KENSINGTON, BROOKLYN — A construction worker’s foot was cut off by a saw at a Kensington construction site with violations for hazardous conditions, officials said.

The worker “lost foot while working with saw” at a construction site on the corner of 13th Avenue and 37th Street at about 11 a.m., according to a Department of Buildings complaint and the FDNY.

Emergency responders rushed the construction worker to Maimonides Medical Center in serious condition, said FDNY.

Contractors of the five-story storage facility going up at 3621 13th Ave. face $3,000 in fines after they failed to fix two hazardous conditions that DOB inspectors first reported in November, city records show.
