In honor of World AIDS Day, the Rainbow Ministry of Immaculate Heart of Mary's is collaborating with St. Augustine's LGBTS Ministry and St. Francis Xavier Church for a service this evening.
Daniel Tietz, Executive Director at AIDS Community Research Initiative of America, and Mickey Heller, a board member of the Brooklyn Pride Parade, will speak. Steven Vaughan, music director at Immaculate Heart of Mary, will perform the music and Ann Beirne, soloist at St. Augustine, will sing. Matt Kirby, a parishioner at St. Augustine, will display icons in the vestibule.
A reception will follow the service.
