Family of New Paltz Reflects on 50 Years of Service (newpaltz.edu) — A regional crisis‑support nonprofit that began in Woodstock in 1970 is marking 50 years of its New Paltz branch while continuing to run hotlines, shelters, and food programs serving Woodstock, New Paltz, and Ellenville. Leaders say cuts to SNAP and rising housing costs are driving more local families to seek help, and they're gearing up for a Thanksgiving Turkey Trot fundraiser to sustain services.
