1-Car Rollover Leads to Multiple Charges in Yorktown
Among the charges was aggravated DWI.

YORKTOWN, NY — A rollover car accident led Yorktown police to arrest a Mohegan Lake man on multiple charges.
On Nov. 5, about 2:32 a.m., police received a call about a one-car rollover accident Mohegan Avenue that struck a fire hydrant and telephone pole.
After police arrived to investigate, they found 28-year-old Thomas Peter Anderson who identified himself as the driver.

Police said Anderson was driving drunk with a blood alcohol content of 0.18 percent or more.
He also failed to stay in his lane, was traveling at an unreasonable speed and had an open container of alcohol in his vehicle, police said.

Anderson was arrested and taken to Yorktown Police Headquarters where he was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor; aggravated DWI with 0.18 percent BAC or more, a misdemeanor, and failure to maintain lane, speed not reasonable and open container of alcohol, traffic infractions.
He was released on $200 bail to a family member and is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court Nov. 17.
