$1,000 Worth of Electronics Stolen, Man Picks Up Pot Package, Stolen Sandwich and More

Violating an Order of Protection

A man is due in Yorktown Town Court on Thursday after he was charged with second-degree criminal contempt, a misdemeanor. Anthony J. Waterhouse, Jr., 21, from Peekskill, was arrested for allegedly speaking on the phone with another person in a violation of an order of protection. On Oct. 4, police were alerted of the incident and responded to the Peekskill Police Department where they placed the defendant in custody. He was remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $5,000 and scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 6.

Police charged Angel L. Gonzalez, 19, from Lake Peekskill with grand larceny, a felony, for allegedly stealing electronic devices. On Sept. 24 police received a complaint from the Radio Shack in the Triangle Center that the defendant allegedly stole more than $1,000 worth of items from the store. He was arrested on Oct. 4 and released without bail. He is due in court on Oct. 27. 

Suspended Driver's License

Police arrested Justin G. Headley, 25, from Katonah for allegedly driving with a suspended license. On Oct. 1, police responded to a motor vehicle accident in Yorktown and after a routine DMV check, determined the defendant’s license had been suspended. Headley was released on $100 bail and scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 1. 

Teen Provides Alcohol to Underage Kids at Home

Police charged a 16-year-old Yorktown Heights resident with criminal nuisance, a misdemeanor. On Oct. 1 police responded to a possible underage drinking party at a Lexington Avenue residence where the defendant allegedly provided alcohol to several underage youths. The teen, who name police did not release, was released to a parent and scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 1. 

Man Assaults Family Member

Police charged Guseppe DiFrosca, 72, from Yorkown with third-degree assault, a misdemeanor. The defendant had allegedly assaulted a family member. He was transported to the police station and scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 4.

Home Training Future Service Dog

On Sept. 30 police received a report that a vehicle was driving up and down the roadway on Colonial Street. Police said the subject was working on home training with a Guiding Eyes for the Blind dog. 

Man Steals $8.50 Sandwich

Police charged Alexander R. Hoy, 22, from Yorktown with petty larceny, a misdemeanor. He is accused of exiting DeCicco’s Market without paying for a sandwich valued at $8.50. The incident took place on Sept. 29. The suspect fled the scene toward the Jefferson Valley mall, police said. Police later located Hoy who fit the description of the suspect. He was released on $1,500 bail and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 13. 

Jumping Bail

Police charged Jonathan V. Tozzo, 21, from Shrub Oak, with third-degree bail jumping, a misdemeanor. The arrest stems from an Aug. 24 incident when Tozzo was arrested on a bench warrant for allegedly failing to appear in court both in May and June on an assault charge. On Sept. 29 the defendant was arrested at the Yorktown Court while appearing for a scheduled appearance. He was in custody of Westchester County Corrections. Tozzo was remanded to the Westchester County Jail after he was unable to post the $500 bail. He is due in court on Nov. 3. 

Arrest Warrant for Peekskill Man

Sean Foley, 19, from Peekskill, was arrested on an arrest warrant issued by the Yorktown Town Court for failure to appear on a charge of aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor. The arrest warrant was issued on Aug. 15 when he allegedly failed to appear in court. The defendant was located in the Putnam County Jail and placed under arrest. Foley was released without bail and scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.

Cortlandt Man Faces Felony Charge for Picking Up Marijuana Package

A 33-year-old Cortlandt Manor man was charged with a felony after he containing more than two pounds of marijuana. Police responded to a call about a suspicious package on Front Street on Sept. 29 when investigation revealed the defendant, Marvin R. Bernard, had picked up the package. Bernard was arrested at the scene and transported to the police department. He was remanded to the Westchester County Jail after he was unable to post the $7,000 bail. He was due in Yorktown Town Court on Oct. 4

Unlicensed Driver In Auto Accident

Police charged Gregg Morrison, 47, from Poughkeepsie, with third degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor. On Sept. 27 police responded to a property damage accident at 1770 East Main Street in Mohegan Lake. A routine check revealed the defendant had allegedly a suspended license. He was released on $150 bail and scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 27.
