13YO Accused of Sexually Abusing Family Member: Yorktown Police

Police said the abuse occurred numerous times.

YORKTOWN, NY — A 13-year-old boy was arrested and charged with juvenile delinquency Tuesday for sexually abusing another 13-year-old family member, police said.

Yorktown police said, if the charge had been committed by an adult, it would be misdemeanor second-degree sexual abuse.

Detectives were called to investigate a report of a sexual assault of a minor June 25, 2016.

Westchester County Child Advocacy Center personnel and the Yorktown police said the accused sexually abused the family member numerous times in his residence.

The boy who was accused of being the abuser was issued a juvenile appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Westchester County Department of Probation August 4, 2016.
