Police said he told another student he would tell her when the shooting would happen.

YORKTOWN, NY — Police arrested a 14-year-old boy because they said he made a threat against Lakeland High School.
The boy, who was not identified, was charged with juvenile delinquency, though the underlying charge — second-degree aggravated harassment — would be a misdemeanor.
Police said on Wednesday, September 14 at 2:20 p.m. an officer working at Lakeland was advised by the administration that a student reported a threat made against the school.

He is scheduled to appear in the Westchester County Department of Probation October 13.
School officials said information was received about the alleged threat and the information was immediately turned over to Yorktown Police.
The statement from the district which appeared on its website is as follows:
At this time, the alleged threat has not been confirmed by testimony or video, however was taken very seriously.
Police have made an arrest, however, a police investigation is different from a school investigation. We are monitoring the situation very closely and will take all appropriate actions as necessary. At no time were students or staff in danger. As always, safety and security remain our number one priority.
