14YO Boy Arrested For Punching 15YO Girl In Face, Arm: Yorktown Police
Two groups of young people were fighting in the common area of the mall.

YORKTOWN, NY — A teenage boy from Peekskill was arrested and charged with juvenile delinquency for allegedly punching a girl in the face. Yorktown Police said the 14-year-old suspect would have faced third-degree attempted assault if he had been charged as an adult.
Police said they responded to the Jefferson Valley Mall around 3 p.m. May 7 for a report of a fight in progress.
When they got there, police were directed to two groups of young people who had begun fighting in the interior common area of the mall.

Officers found that the 14-year-old boy had allegedly repeatedly punched a 15-year-old girl in the face and arm.
The teenage boy, whose name was not released, was arrested at the scene and taken to the Yorktown Police Headquarters where he was charged and released to his parent.

The boy was issued a juvenile appearance ticket to appear at the Westchester County Department of Probation May 16.
