15-Year-Old Boy Accused Of Punching Girl
The underlying charge, if it had been committed by an adult, would have been attempted assault.
YORKTOWN, NY — A 15-year-old Yorktown boy was arrested and charged with juvenile delinquency after a report of a teen punching another teen in the face. Yorktown police said they were called to an address on Commerce Street shortly before 4 p.m. Friday for a report of an assault.
Police said the investigation found that the 15-year-old repeatedly punched a 14-year-old girl in the face, causing a minor injury.
Parents of both children were called to the scene, police said.

While the boy was charged with juvenile delinquency, the underlying charge, if it had been committed by an adult, would have been third-degree attempted assault, a misdemeanor.
The 15-year-old was issued a juvenile appearance ticket directing him to appear with a parent at the Westchester County Department of Probation Jan. 21.

He was then released to the custody of his mother.
