18-Year-Old Accused of Shoplifting at Sears: Yorktown Police Blotter

Clothing and jewelry was allegedly taken.

An 18-year-old Putnam Valley woman faces a charge of petty larceny, a misdemeanor, after an incident Nov. 4.

Yorktown police received a call from Sears at the Jefferson Valley Mall about an alleged shoplifter.

Police say the woman, whose name is being withheld because she is eligible for youthful offender status, left the store with $762.93 worth of clothes and jewelry, without paying.

She was released on $100 bail and is due in Yorktown Justice Court Dec. 4.
