18YO Katonah Man Arrested For Drunk Driving In Yorktown: Police

Police initially responded to a car crashing into a mailbox.

YORKTOWN, NY — An 18-year-old man faces drunk driving charges in Yorktown. Police said the man, a Katonah resident whose name is being withheld due to eligibility for youthful offender status, was arrested around 3:30 a.m. Thursday, July 20 and charged with driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated with a blood-alcohol content of 0.08 percent or more.

Police said the 18-year-old was allegedly driving drunk and he was arrested and taken to police headquarters.

Further investigation found the man was allegedly driving with a blood-alcohol content higher than 0.08 percent.

He was processed on the charges and released on his own recognizance to a responsible party.

The man is due back in Yorktown Justice Court August 1.
