2 Accidents Handled By Yorktown Heights Wednesday [PHOTOS]
It was a busy morning for the Yorktown Heights Volunteer Fire Department.

YORKTOWN, NY — Two accidents Wednesday morning, one involving a school bus, kept first responders busy in Yorktown. According to a Facebook post by the Yorktown Heights Volunteer Fire Department, the first accident happened about 7:40 a.m. on Route 129 in the area of Chapman Road.
An SUV had rolled over into a wooded area, the fire department said. The sole occupant of the vehicle was able to get out and was taken to a hospital.
YHFD units secured the vehicle and notified the state Department of Transportation of severe icing conditions on Route 129.

While the YHFD was responding to the roll over, units from Station 2 pulled up on an accident that had occurred moments earlier at the entrance to Downing Park on Route 202.
An SUV and a school bus from a local school district collided.

There were no children on the bus, the fire department said.
YHFD units secured both vehicles and provided traffic control.
One person from that scene was taken to the hospital.
