2 Arrested for Stealing from Toys R Us in Yorktown
One of the people arrested was an employee of the toy store.

YORKTOWN, NY — Two Bronx residents face felony charges after being arrested for stealing from a Toys R Us.
Yorktown Police said Darryl Powell Jr., 25, was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony, and fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor.
Nancy Grubbs, 25, was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony.

Police said they received a call from Toy R Us on Dec. 20 around 7:55 p.m.
An investigation found that between Dec. 13 and Dec. 18, Grubbs, a Toys R Us employee, allowed Powell, posing as a customer, to go through her checkout line without having him pay for merchandise, police said.

The total loss reported by the toy store was $2,521.98.
Grubbs was taken into custody in the store. Powell was found in a vehicle outside the store, where police said he was smoking marijuana.
After processing at Yorktown Police headquarters, Grubbs was released on $200 bail. Powell was released on $300 bail.
Both are scheduled to appear in Yorktown Court Jan. 24.
