2 Children Receive Minor Injuries In School Bus Collision

The crash occurred before 8 a.m. Thursday.

SOMERS, NY — A school bus crash in Somers Thursday morning resulted in two children receiving minor injuries. A car and a Royal Coach minibus collided before 8 a.m. near the corner of Route 202 and Miller Avenue.

The bus had only two children on board and was rear-ended at a stop sign, the Journal News reported.

The bus driver, bus monitor and both children were taken to a hospital as a precaution.

A spokesperson for the school district said the students go to schools outside of the district, the Journal News said.
