2 Queens Women Arrested In Theft Of $1,562.88 In Feminine, Cosmetic Goods From Yorktown CVS: Police
One of the women was turned over to the Peekskill Police Department for an active arrest warrant, according to police.

YORKTOWN, NY — Two Queens women were arrested after a shoplifting spree at a local CVS, according to police.
The Yorktown Police Department says that 23-year-old Melanie Ortiz and 32-year-old Thifany Lopez, both from College Point, were arrested on active warrants for felony fourth-degree grand larceny.
The charges stem from an August 25, last year, when officers were called to the CVS on Commerce St., on a report of a larceny.

Police say that three women stole $1,562.88 worth of feminine and cosmetic items from the store.Investigators identified Ortiz and Lopez as two of the three suspects, and an arrest warrant was issued.
On May 14, the pair turned themselves in at Yorktown Police Department headquarters, where they were arrested, and arraigned before a judge.

Oritz was released on her own recognizance, and is due to appear before the Yorktown Justice Court on July 2.
Lopez was turned over to the Peekskill Police Department on an active arrest warrant. She is due to appear before the Yorktown Justice Court on June 4.
