New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks arrested Mustafa H. Aljariri for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st Degree, both Felonies.
Troopers were dispatched to a one-car property damage collision that occurred Aug. 23 on Foot Hill Street in Mohegan Lake. Police say they observed that the 32 year old Putnam Valley resident was driving a 2005 Honda while impaired by drugs.
Aljariri was arrested and charged with Felony DWAI-Drugs when a criminal history revealed that he was convicted of DWI related offenses 4 times within the preceding 10 years. He was also charged with operating a motor vehicle with revoked driving privileges.
Aljariri was arraigned in the Town of Yorktown Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail. He is scheduled to return to the Town of Yorktown Court on August 27.
