69-year-old Accused of Shoplifting Sockets from Sears

The Cortlandt man is due in Yorktown Court Dec. 9.

Sears security at the Jefferson Valley Mall called Yorktown police at 3 p.m. Nov. 8 to report that a man had fled the store after taking an assortment of sockets from a $99 Craftsman socket set.

Officers Matthew Iacona and Keith Fortunato arrested a man in the parking lot identified as Paul E. Cahan, 69, of Cortlandt Manor.

He was charged with petty larceny, a misdemeanor, and released on $100 bail. He is due in Yorktown Court Dec. 9.
