Activists to Rally at Senator Schumer's Peekskill Office 9/21 9am

Activists throughout Northern Westchester and Putnam County will gather at Senator Chuck Schumer's office in Peekskill on Monday morning 9am

Friday night, America suffered the tragic loss of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg (RBG) after a long and valiant fight with cancer.

She served on the Supreme Court for 27 years and stood firm for voting and workers’ rights, affirmative action, and women’s and LGBTQ equality. She proudly stood for the equality of all Americans.

Within hours of her unfortunate death Mitch McConnell declared that he will have the Senate vote on her replacement as soon as possible.

Four years ago, with more time before the 2016 Presidential Election than this year, Mitch McConnell blocked President Obama bid to appoint a Supreme Court judge stating the next President should select the next Supreme Court Judge.

With no respect for his own principles, or for Judge Ginsburg’s dying statement, “most fervent wish was not to be replaced until a new president [is] installed.".

Therefore, there will be a rally at Senator Schumer’s office Monday 9/21 at 9am at 1 Park Place, Peekskill, to impress upon the Senator the need to delay any Supreme Court appointment until after the next President is inaugurated.
