Alice Roker Endorses Ilan (Lanny) Gilbert and Vishnu Patel
Alice Roker Talks About the EXPERIENCE AND VISION of Ilan (Lanny) Gilbert and Vishnu Patel

Dear Yorktown Neighbor:
Earlier this year, I decided that I would not seek re-election to the Town Board. Thank you for the privilege and honor you afforded me to work in this amazing community that I have called home since 1985.
I wholeheartedly SUPPORT Ilan (Lanny) Gilbert and Vishnu Patel for Town Council.

When Lanny took office as Supervisor money was a challenge for Yorktown so he sought the assistance of our partners. State Senator Peter Harckham supplied grants to the Town of Yorktown to pay for a playground where children with disabilities can play. Lanny got the money the Field Home Foundation and for a new bus to enable seniors to get to the Nutrition Center. He encouraged Enbridge/Spectra to donate money to the Teen Center and the Alliance for Safe Kids. He got Westchester County to invest nearly Nine Hundred Thousand dollars in the neglected Hilltop Hanover Farm. On top of that he negotiated over Three Million dollars in additional funding from Enbridge/Spectra for the Town.
When NYSEG proposed a double-digit rate hike, Lanny convinced the Public Service Commission’s to move the hearing to Yorktown where the voices of Lanny Gilbert and Vishnu Patel and you (The Residents) could be heard. He also testified before the Public Service Commission about the response of utilities to outages and how that impacted our Town and its residents and businesses.

Work at the Town’s newest Park, Granite Knolls, was completed on time and under budget through the efforts of the Lanny Gilbert and the Board. Under Lanny’s leadership the Town was also able to save money on a more efficient lighting system by working collaboratively with members of the Recreation Commission.
Lanny and Vishnu worked tirelessly to move forward the Hallock’s Mill Sewer Project, moving the town through the required process and getting the County to re-commit the $10 million dollars that had been earmarked for this project.
Lanny, while accomplishing all of the above, and more, left the Town of Yorktown, in a much better state than when he found it only two short years before.
Ilan (Lanny) Gilbert and Vishnu Patel are not only smart, but they are good men, who want to work on behalf of their friends and neighbors in Yorktown.
Thank you for your time,
Alice E. Roker, Councilwoman
