Stabbing In Westchester Leads To Arrest Of Illinois Man: Police

The victim was taken to Westchester Medical Center for treatment, according to the Yorktown Police Department.

YORKTOWN, NY — A bloody scene in Yorktown has led to the arrest of a suspect from out of state, according to cops.

On April 30, around 10:22 a.m., officers responded to Underhill Avenue after receiving a report of a stabbing. At the scene, police found a victim with what appeared to be a stab wound.

The Yorktown Police Department says that 23-year-old James Fraghia, of Hinsdale, Illinois, was arrested and charged with felony second-degree assault. Police say that Fraghia stabbed the victim in the left shoulder area with a knife.

The victim was taken to Westchester Medical Center for treatment.

Fraghia was taken to Hudson Valley Hospital for evaluation after his arrest. After arrest processing, he was virtually arraigned at the hospital by a judge.

Fraghia was able to post bail and is scheduled to appear in court on June 4, according to authorities.
