Ann D. Meder, of Somers, Dies
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrews Day Program or the Hospice Care in Westchester and Putnam.

Ann D. Meder died on Wednesday, May 1 at home in Somers.
Born in Buhl, Minnesota, she was the daughter of the late Natale and Anna (Moscato) Pellicano.
Prior to her retirement, Meder was last employed as an Electro-Mechanical Designer for Energetics Science, formerly of Hawthorne. She was a graduate of Parsons School of Design, and spent the early years of her career working in the commercial art field, designing men’s ties and book jackets.

Meder excelled at many creative and artistic pursuits, including sewing and other needle crafts, jewelry silversmithing and photography, and particularly enjoyed world travel with her husband, art museums, dancing, and social outings with family and friends.
Throughout her life, her winning smile and friendly personality endeared her to all those who crossed her path, and her determination and indomitable spirit helped her triumph over many challenges.

The woman is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ernest Meder; two daughters: Joanne Meder and Marilyn (Scott) Montgomery; two grandsons: Kyle and Cameron Montgomery; and many nieces and nephews.
