Anne Faughnan, Of Amawalk, Dies At 86

YORKTOWN, NY — Anne Faughnan, née McNeely, of Amawalk, passed away May 8, 2017, at home with her family and loving husband of 63 years by her side. She was 86. Anne was born on April 8, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY, to Mary and James McNeely.

She was one of six children. She was predeceased by her brothers, Joseph, John, Edward and William. Her twin sister, Helen Kralik resides in Somers. Anne is survived by her husband Casper, her children Thomas (Pat) of Kennett Square, PA, Patricia Seger (Edward) of Vernon, NJ, James (Janet) of Clifton, VA, Edward (Kim) of Brownsville, IN, Mary Odell (Bill) of Dover, NY, and Anne Cleary (Brian) of Amawalk, NY.

She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 41 nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Michael.

Anne was an honorary member of the Irish American Club, the President of Lakeland High School Parents Club, a Thomas Jefferson Elementary School Monitor, an honorary member of Columbiettes #8545, one of the founding members of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, a CCD teacher and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society.

Anne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and great-grandmother. She lived her life for her family, she believed family was everything and she led by example. She will be immensely missed.

Calling hours are from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Clark Funeral Home in Yorktown Heights. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Shrub Oak. Interment will follow at Long Island National Cemetery.
