Arrested Yorktown Man's Driver License Suspended 13 Times: Police

His vehicle's registration was allegedly expired.

YORKTOWN, NY — A 57-year-old Yorktown Heights man was arrested and charged for driving with a suspended license. Police said Kenneth R. Mitchell, of Halyan Road, was charged with two counts of second-degree aggravated unlicensed operations, misdemeanors, and failing to signal a turn and unregistered motor vehicle, traffic infractions.

Yorktown police saw a motorist allegedly make a turn without using a signal around 9:28 p.m. June 12. A traffic stop was initiated and the driver was identified as Mitchell.

A computer check revealed that his driver license was allegedly suspended 13 times on seven different dates for failing to answer summons and failing to pay fines.

The check also found that his vehicle’s registration was allegedly expired.

Mitchell was arrested and taken to police headquarters.

He was processed and released on $200 bail to a family member.

Mitchell is due to return to Yorktown Justice Court July 13
