YORKTOWN, NY — A Yorktown woman was accused of assaulting another person. Yorktown police said Taylor Gironda, 28, of Yorktown, was charged with third-degree assault, a misdemeanor.
Police said, around 2:30 a.m. July 27, officers were sent to check out an assault complaint.
Officers said Gironda punched and kicked her victim.

On Tuesday, she voluntarily surrendered and was arrested.
After processing, Gironda was arraigned and a temporary order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim.

She was released on her own recognizance to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court Oct. 13.
