Assault at the Mohegan Diner

Francisco J. Aguilar Lopez of Mohegan Lake is due in Yorktown town court to answer a charge of third-degree assault, a misdemeanor, after an altercation at the Mohegan Diner Dec. 14.

An employee at the Diner called police at 2:31 a.m. to report that he had been assaulted by a former co-worker.

His nose was broken in the assault, police said.

Aguilar Lopez turned himself in and was issued a Temporary Order of Protection prohibiting him from contact with the victim. He is due in court Jan. 6.
