Spring was in the air at Benjamin Franklin Elementary School as the school celebrated the Fifth Annual Senior Tea. Seniors citizens from throughout the community were served a light breakfast by fourth and fifth grade peer leaders. The students also asked questions and discussed a wide range of topics with the seniors.
Musical performances added to the festivities featuring the 5th and 6th grade chorus and orchestra and band performances. First, second, third, and fourth graders also offered poetry readings to the delight of all in attendance.
The event is co-sponsored by the Ben Franklin ES site-based team and the PTA , the PTA baking committee, and its many parent volunteers.
