Breaking Into Barber Shop To Get To Jeweler's: Yorktown Police

Yorktown officers were assisted by the Westchester County Police and the New York State Police.

YORKTOWN, NY — Police say they caught a burglar breaking into a Yorktown jewelry store — from the barber shop next door. They had received an anonymous call about a burglary at 2008 Crompond Road at 3:44 a.m. Tuesday.

So with the help of the Westchester County Police and New York State Police, they surrounded the whole building.

They took Paul N. Shkreli into custody, alleging that he had broken into the jewelry store from inside the barbershop.

The 44-year-old Yonkers man was charged with two counts of third-degree burglary and sent to the Westchester County Jail without bail. He is due in Yorktown Town Court Oct. 17.
