Broken License Plate Light Leads To Arrest In Yorktown
Police patrolling the Bear Mountain Parkway came across a car with a busted light.
YORKTOWN, NY — A Garrison resident faces a charge of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in Yorktown.
Police said an officer on patrol stopped a car on the Bear Mountain Parkway at 12:59 a.m. Wednesday because the license plate light was out. A check with the Department of Motor Vehicles revealed the driver was operating with a suspended license, police alleged.
Andreluis Fernandez, 28, was arrested and issued traffic tickets for the misdemeanor driving charge and the vehicle infraction. He's due back in court Aug. 25, police said.
