Buffalo Man Arrested For 'Lewd Act' In A Westchester Library

YORKTOWN, NY — A 39-year-old man from Buffalo was arrested and charged with public lewdness. The lewd act took place at the public library, according to police.

According to Yorktown police, they received a report last week that a man exposed himself to a woman on August 31, at 1:20 p.m., in the John C. Hart Library, located on E. Main St.

Kenneth Hughes pulled down his pants and underwear, exposing himself in front of a woman. He then masturbated in front of her, according to authorities.

After an investigation, Hughes was found in Peekskill last Wednesday and was arrested.

He was arraigned in Yorktown Justice Court and released on his own recognizance, with his next court date scheduled for September 19.
