Canine Kindergarten coming to Yorktown

1. Costco
Mr. Fon explained that a CD of the Revised FEIS is available from the Planning Department and will be on the town’s web site. Copies will also be available at the library. The board will discuss a draft Findings Statement at the November 10 meeting.

2. Lake Osceola Square
Based on a board site visit, the discussion focused on site distance issues along East Main Street and modifying the building design in order to modify its bulk appearance. A public hearing on the site plan will be held on November 10.

3. Underhill Ave. Sober House
The board will recommend to the Town Board that additional parking spaces be provided and that changes be made to the landscaping plan.

4. Grotto Holding/Canine Kindergarten
The owners of Canine Kindergarten plan to rent the first floor retail space in the building. Their plan ncludes an outdoor play area.

5. BJ’s/Staples rezoning for gas pumps
The board will recommend to the Town Board that only a portion of the site be rezoned to C-3 from C-1. The board was satisfied with the applicant’s expanded EAF (Environmental Assessment Form.) and does not think a full EIS is needed.
