Car Accident Leads To Drug Possession Arrest: PD

Police said the man was also driving while ability impaired

YORKTOWN, NY — A Lake Peekskill man was accused of drug possession after an automobile accident. Yorktown police responded to a report of a single-car accident around 10:30 p.m. Sept. 30 where a car had struck a mailbox pillar and a tree.

When police got there, Brandon G. Faul, 26, of Lake Peekskill, was identified as the driver.

Police said he was in possession of heroin, crack cocaine and Xanax and was driving while his ability to do so was impaired by drugs. He also caused damage to another person's property.

Faul was arrested and taken to police headquarters for processing.

He was charged with fourth- and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and driving while ability impaired by drugs with one prior conviction, felonies, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and fourth-degree criminal mischief, misdemeanors.

Faul was arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court and was sent to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail or $20,000 bond.

He is scheduled to reappear in court Oct. 3.
