Catching Unrestrained Kids in Cars Entering FDR Park

The New York State Police conducted a Buckle Up NY checkpoint on the exit ramp from the Taconic State Parkway at the FDR Park in Yorktown July 24.

During this detail 41 tickets were issued for child restraint violations, 6 tickets were issued for seatbelt violations, and 2 tickets were issued for other violations.

This occupant safety detail perpetuates the mission of the State Police to reduce deaths and injuries caused by motor vehicle accidents through vehicle and traffic enforcement.
