Catherine Sullivan of Yorktown Heights Dies At 93

Catherine Sullivan of Yorktown Heights died on March 6, 2017. She was 93 years old. Catherine (Kay) previously lived in Thornwood, Hawthorne and the Bronx. Catherine was the daughter of Denis Curtin and Ellen Canning Curtin. She was educated in New York City.

Catherine married Timothy Sullivan in 1950 and they remained a loving couple until his death in 1996. Catherine is survived by four loving children: Timothy and his wife Susan Sullivan, Deirdre and her husband, David Smithies, Lori and her husband, Paul Marchione, and Erin and her husband Robert Goldstein. She is also survived by 11 loving grandchildren. They are Tara Barrow and her husband Jeffrey, Erin Baker and her husband Justin, Kevin Smithies, Caitlin Smith and her husband Brian, Brendan Goldstein, Kyle Sullivan and his wife Rachel, Cara Goldstein, Jenna Marchione, Brett Marchione, Colin Goldstein and Drew Marchione. Catherine is also survived by four loving great-grandchildren: Kelly Barrow, Ryan Barrow, Colden Baker and Keira Baker.

Calling hours will be on Friday, March 10 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home in Yorktown Heights. The Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 11 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Shrub Oak. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New York Firefighters Burn Center Foundation.
